This is the one you've been waiting for!

In this two-hour workshop of four premium wines expertly paired to artisan cheese, our Chief Sommelier, Erin Henderson, will lead you on a fabulous tasting of no-fail wine pairings for your fromage. 

We will discuss the ins and outs of pairing a fabulous cheese board and some top notch tips for wines that work – and why others may not.  

Class runs 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Vantage Venues, 150 King St. W.

  1. Should I eat dinner before the wine tasting?

Well, if you ask us, we're always hungry so that would an enthusiastic yes. We do set out a cheeseboard before the tasting for you to enjoy and share with fellow class mates over a glass of welcome wine. After the tasting ends, somewhere between 8-8:30, we do offer a selection of light bites, but that's a long time to go with out eating – at least for us. 

  1. Is there parking nearby?

There is no parking onsite, but plenty of Green P's around the building. Vantage Venues is at 150 King St. W., right above the St Andrew's subway station, on the King streetcar line, and a block north of Union Station. 

Please do not drink and drive. 

  1. Are there refills on wine?

We like how you think, but sadly, no. We strive to keep these wine tastings as economical as possible (and take a look around, we've done a pretty good job, if we do say so ourselves), so we offer a proper tasting amount of 2 oz per person, per wine, plus a glass of welcome wine to start the evening. 

  1. Can I bring a friend and pay at the door?

Unfortunately not. We don't have an onsite payment system and the nature of the class is we need to know ahead of time to ensure we have enough wine and food for everyone. 

  1. What food is served? 

Super delicious food! The creative chefs' team at Vantage Venues changes it up every class to carefully pair to our themes, however, there is always vegan and gluten free options available. Closer to the class date we will publish the menu. 

  1. I'm just a beginner. Are the classes appropriate for me?

YES! everyone is welcome at our classes. We've had everyone from newbies to wine enthusiasts who have travelled the world's wine regions join our tastings and so far, our survey results say everyone has loved the workshops and learned something new. (#humblebrag).
