If gin is your jam, get to the Juniper Festival
CHEERS TO THAT —
By Eugenio Garro |
If you’re a gin lover or not — doesn’t matter — do whatever you need to do to clear your schedule July 15 and head out to The Juniper, the third annual spectacle of gin at Dillon’s Distillery in Niagara.
The event features food vendors, award-winning spirits and some of the best bartenders competing for the 2018 Cocktail Cup. Not to mention a surprise for everyone who attends. Why do we love this event? Food, booze and being a part of the finale for the 2018 Cocktail Cup. Yes, that means you get to taste the final two cocktails made by some of the best bartenders around and vote for your favourite.
As for that surprise. Dillon’s has been tinkering with something special and this year just by attending, they won’t be sending you home empty handed. Dillon’s will be sending everyone home with a sample of their newest release. Even though it’s a surprise, they will be dropping hints on social media. But don’t wait for that, just buy your ticket and get yourself whatever it may be.
The festival also marks the yearly release for Dillon’s 2-year Barrel Aged Plum Gin. Guests will receive an exclusive tasting and first dibs on buying a bottle. Food and cocktails range from $5 to $15 and the event is a full à la carte experience. This means bring some cash because you’ll want to try everything you can.
The Juniper is Sunday, July 15 at the Dillon’s Distillery from 2pm to 7pm. Tickets are on sale for $10 and can be obtained via Dillon’s website.
