Don’t miss Toronto’s best-loved food party

Yes, it’s back and you’re not going to want to miss it… like so many did last year when the event sold out (as it does every year) about 15 minutes after the tickets went on sale. Yes, The Stop’s Night Market is back with good food and quenching drinks, with 65 Toronto chefs and 20+ drink vendors, plus a bunch of performers, musicians and assorted entertainers (that’s assorted, not sordid).
We love the Night Market for many reasons, not the least being that it comes at the kick off to summer, and feels like the first of the season’s major food fests. The premier Night Market was held in 2012, and since then has endeared itself to the city’s foodies for being such a pleasant (isn’t that so Canadian?) event. Described by BlogTO as “quite possibly the nicest, best catered summer soirée in the city,” it really is a great way to kick off the season with friends and family while supporting the good work that The Stop does for our community.
All proceeds go to The Stop Community Food Centre’s critical food access and community-building programs, which include a healthy food bank, nutritious drop-in meals, perinatal and family supports, community kitchens and gardens, and youth leadership programs. Toronto-based FreshBooks is presenting sponsor, so you know everything will be well accounted for.
Tickets: You have two chances to attend: Tuesday, June 12, and Wednesday, June 13. Both events are 7 to 11pm at 181 Sterling Rd. (up the road from The Drake Commissary). It’s an outdoor event. Tickets go for $100 a person, are valid for one night, and go on sale May 10 at 12pm. You’d better be ready.
